Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) can occur from a sudden event like a car accident, fall, or concussion. The brain may be violently struck by the bony skull resulting in tearing of tissue, bleeding and swelling.
The person suffering the TBI may or may not lose consciousness. Symptoms of TBI vary. Some symptoms of TBI include headache, confusion, dizziness, vison problems, ringing in the ears, change in personality, change in sleep, change in behavior, difficulty concentrating and more.
