On March 1, 2013, Justin Kahn participated in a panel discussion
with federal judges, a law professor and another lawyer at the
University of South Carolina School of Law.
The topic was “Realities of the Rules: How Procedural
Rules Cope with Technological Advances.” The 2013 South
Carolina Law Review symposium focused on the practice of law in
the 21st Century. The discussion addressed the intersection of
law, technology and the existing rules of procedure and
evidence. Federal judges from throughout the country along with
others discussed landmark cases that addressed electronic
discovery, the use and admissibility of that data and the need
for lawyers to become familiar with the issues.
The symposium was entitled The Practice of Law in the 21st
Century: The Intersection of Law & Technology. The brochure
is available here.
